To mark the official launch of Magellan Books Publishing, I am
proud to announce our first major publication:   "Writing Wider" by Billie A Williams   Go here to view   It's a beautiful irony to me that way back in 2002, Billie was one of my first subscribers and an ardent supporter of the Easy Way to Write.   In those days, she was a student on my Romance course, now she's a fully fledged author in her own right - with TWENTY published books and resources of her own.   Go here to view   Take a look at Billie's new book. It's fabulous - really!

And remember that if you have any of your own work you'd like me to publish, take a look at my guidelines too!   http://easywaytowrite.com/magellan/billie_williams.html   Keep Writing - And Getting Published!   Rob@easywaytowrite.com Magellan Books Publishing Rob Parnell's Easy Way to Write

Writing Wide a preview

Writing Wide is filled with exercises for you to build your writing muscle. It starts with words my mother used to tell me and builds on them. For instance, she used to say if a person had a wide space between their front teeth they couldn't keep a secret.

So, I took that Wide Space Between Your Teeth and used it as a chapter in Writing Wide. It's a great boon for a mystery writer, but any writer really.  As you write, you want to hold a little bit back so that your reader won't get the whole story until the very end of the book, article, or whatever you are writing.

When the economy is in a slump and you are in a quandary between entertainment and donating to a good cause--remember it's possible to do both. Buy a book from Billie A Williams and a donation is made to a good cause. These writing books bring much needed income to local libraries. You can have entertainment and help others at the same time. Thank you we appreciate you!

DONATIONS to Charitable Causes

The writing books on this page all have a special link to local libraries.
For every book sold 1/4 of my royalties is donated to a rotating list of libraries: How does this work?  I get a royalty check for each quarter from Filbert Publishing. I take one quarter of that check and send a donation to one of the four libraries listed here. (A quarter is three months, so January-March, April-June, July - September, October-December) I issue a check about the 15th of the following month because it takes that long for all the processing to get done.
Amounts donated are posted here as I make them.
1st quarter earnings  - netted a donation to the Wausaukee Public Library for $20
Crivitz Public Libarary, Crivitz, Wisconsin A Share the wealth donation of $33  to Crivitz Library from the 2nd quarter earnings of my writing books. Twenty books flew out the door as the launch book for Magellan Books when they released Writing Wider, More Exercises in Creative Writing.  Thanks to those who have already bought their copy --I hope you will consider adding to your library by purchasing this book from Magellan Books
